Synopsis
Filmed in south-east China (near Wuxi in Jiangsu province) follows the daily life of three Han peasant families living in communes. Concerned with the discontinuities the older generation have faced since the revolution in 1949. Through interviews and location shots shows how their lives have been transformed by the Japanese invasions, the Communist takeover and now the new economic and social policies. *RAI
