Our Kind of Town, presented by Keith Howell. This episode focuses on cane and umbrella making. Howell speaks to Mr Harvey of James Smith and Sons umbrella shop based in New Oxford Street. Programme also includes Singing In The Rain, sung by Gene Kelly, and a comedy sketch on foreign foods, starring Kenneth Williams. Romilly Hobbs, whose new food shop sells food from across the world, describes travelling around the world trying foods, and talks about the problems with importing goods. Hobbs also discusses attitudes to food, and her own favourites. In two parts, divided by short break in audio.
