Images of Conflict
- Alternative title
- War Photography
- Synopsis
- We are bombarded on a daily basis by images of war, but there is a fine line between embedded coverage and propaganda. If a picture is worth a thousand words, what is the life of the war photographer worth? On the new battlefield the journalists and photographers are amongst the first to be targeted. What are the motivations of those who capture the pictures? Political? Humane? This BBC documentary, formerly known as WAR PHOTOGRAPHY, examines some of the most iconic images of war, the stories behind them and the lives of the photographers who took them.
