- Two South African policemen have been found not guilty of assault by men under their command in a Capetown court due to laws under the state of emergency. The case arises out of allegations made by Lieutenant Gregory Rockman from Mitchell’s Plain of excessive brutality by riot police, he reacts to the decision and warns of a backlash.
