Campaigners fighting poverty in Britain have been outraged by the latest statement from cabinet minister John Moore. The Social Security Secretary says the country’s poor are not really poor because they can always find money for beer and cigarettes. He denies their claims that one in three Britons are poverty-stricken. Michael O’Neill reports.
