- Description
- Doctors and dentists are to get twice as much as nurses in the Government’s public sector pay review, but their pay rise will be staggered, with half in April and half in December. And the news that prescription charges are to go up by twenty-five pence to five pounds fifty - a rise of nearly five percent - has irritated Dr John Chisholm of the British Medical Association (BMA), who says the public are being given the message that they are somehow funding the pay rises through paying more for their prescriptions.
