Description
US President Ronald Reagan gives an address on US-Soviet relations. He explains that tomorrow the USA will join the USSR and thirty-three other nations at a European disarmament conference in Stockholm. Over the last ten years the Soviet Union has devoted twice as much of its gross national product to military expenditure than has the USA. The USA must engage the Soviets in a dialogue as serious and constructive as possible. Reagan says that 1984 is a year of opportunities for peace. Reagan’s dream is to see the day when nuclear weapons are eliminated from the face of the earth.
