A quarter of a million people brought Islington to a standstill as Arsenal returned triumphantly with the league championship. It is the first time they have taken the title in eighteen years and for many fans it was a long-held dream come true. Two by two, the Gunners came out to face the crowd and hold aloft the cherished cup. Lynne Mennie reports; with reaction from manager George Graham and players Lee Dixon, Tony Adams and Alan Smith.
