- Series which examines original texts, manuscripts, letters
and diaries to uncover the story behind the creation of six
classic books. Simon Russell Beale has long been fascinated with Shakespeare’s First Folio (1623)
and what it might reveal about its author. Beale believes we can learn that he collaborated, working with his fellow playwrights and actors and that the words are not always his. Includes contributions from director Sam Mendes and Nicholas Hytner plus solo performances by Russell Beale. - Series
