History
Opening night at the Cottesloe Theatre 6 November 1999. The production later played in the Olivier Theatre. The production was shown in the US on PBS 8 October 2001 in the Exxon-Mobil Masterpiece Theatre series.
Awards
Henry Goodman won an Olivier Award for Best Actor for this performance, and Trevor Nunn won Best Director.
