Synopsis
Feature film. A heroic comic fantasy about an artist’s destiny at the tumultuous time of social transformation three years after the October Revolution. In a town square, a solo-performance based on Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar is being performed. This inspires the film’s hero, Iskremas, who takes the pseudonym ‘Revarm’ (Revolutionary Art for the Masses) to travel through south Russia in a small wagon. From his moving stage he tries to convert people to the causes of the revolution through renditions of Shakespeare’s plays and verse.
