Play synopsis: Set in the Cuninghames’ house in Keltnie, Scotland, The Dashing White Sergeant (the name of a Scottish dance involving one woman and two men) concerns the return home of the family’s daughter Fiona from three years of education in America. She invites home a young American, Bud, whom she met on the journey home, and her arrival is observed with keen interest by her neighbour from the estate across the loch, Andrew.
