Play synopsis

Comedy set in a large parlour in the Morton house in south Wales. Con Morton, a town clerk, reveres his deceased mother (Mam) excessively, and expects his father and siblings to do so equally.

The Keep, an award-winning play, was first staged at the Royal Court Theatre in London in November 1961.
