The plot concerns a lazy, middle-aged playwright, Steven Gaye, who is spurred to write by his new and much younger secretary.

Production history

A Broadway play which debuted on Christmas Day 1934. First turned into a film in 1935, and again in 1950 (as Mr Music) and 1959 (as But Not For Me).
