Play synopsis: 'This is the gay and tuneful story of love in the gold-rush. Ben Rumson stumbles on a seam of gold and soon a town springs to life nearby. It is a town of men: Ben’s daughter Jennifer is the only woman in the place. From a wide field she chooses the Mexican Julio, and the course of her love is rough indeed, especially since the gold seems to be running out ...' (Radio Times, 22 January 1954, p. 20).
