Play synopsis: The play is set at RAF Hornchurch in the summer of 1940, during the Battle of Britain, one of the first major battles of the war between the German Luftwaffe and the RAF. Ronald Adam, the play’s author uses his own experience in his capacity as a controller at RAF Hornchurch which was a pivotal RAF station throughout World War 2.
