Play synopsis

Set on a farm seventy miles from New York, this is the story of a young woman’s adjustment to marriage, developed from Rose Franken’s own novels about her eponymous heroine and her family.

Opened at the Booth Theatre, New York, on 12 February 1941 and at St Martin’s Theatre, London, on 17 September 1942.
