Play synopsis

This comedy, set in London in 1910, concerns the domestic life of antique dealer Joseph Quinney who is dissatisfied with his daughter Posy’s choice of beau, his own foreman James, whom he would rather marry his secretary Ethel.

Quinney’s was first produced c. 1915 and the last performance seen in London prior to this television production was in 1925 (Radio Times, 14 September 1956, p. 15).
