Play synopsis: The Mousetrap concerns the residents of a guest house, which is snowed in, who find themselves trapped with a murderer. Yet Radio Times (17 October 1947, p. 30) writes of this version: ‘lIt is about the murder of a woman in a house in Tottenham Court Road and the clue is a small notebook dropped at the scene of the crime; in it is written, "Three Blind Mice", 74 Culver Street, Monkswell Monor...'
Production history: Three Blind Mice first appeared as a 30-minute radio play on the BBC Light Programme in May 1947. This then became a short story in 1948 and in 1952 became Christie’s long-running drama The Mousetrap.
