Play synopsis: A comedy in which four characters arrive at a country place to act The Mollusc but, finding that the whole village has gone to a neighbouring town to see a film, the actors decide to amuse themselves by trying a play called Midsummer Madness which all the managers have rejected (source: The Daily Express, 12 May 1924, p. 5).
