Play synopsis: Rivalry and jealousy mark the relationship sisters Liz and Honor. Liz is confined to a wheelchair while Honor pays court to Liz’s husband, Peter, with whom she suggests she is pregnant. Liz,confronts Honor who is revealed to have a gun. Honor is shot dead as the women argue, and Peter is the chief suspect. The drama turns on whether Liz will reveal the true events to the police.
Production history: Premiered at the ‘Q’ Theatre, Chiswick in 1948, and filmed as The Rossiter Case in 1951.
