Summary: 1961 BBC production of People of Nowhere by James Brabazon, directed by John Crockett who produced the premiere in 1961, and recorded in its entirety in the disused All Saints’ Church, Petersham, Surrey.

Play synopsis: Set in a derelict church, once an army ammunition dump and now part of a refugee camp, somewhere in Germany, 1945.
Production history: Written for World Refugee Year in 1959, in response to a commission by the Dominicans of Hawksyard Priory. First performed out of doors at Hawksyard and later at St Thomas’ Church, Regent Street. The production was by John Crockett, who produced the 1961 BBC Television version.
