Summary
1968 BBC production of Broadway by George Abbott and Philip Dunning, the first play in the new series The Jazz Age, featuring music by Norton York and the New Yorkers. The series of plays and adaptations of short stories and novels from or about the 1920s was prefaced by the introductory programme The Spirit of the Twenties, a historical film compilation with commentary written and spoken by Malcolm Muggeridge (8.15-9.15pm, 7 September 1968).
