Play synopsis

A brilliant but unworldly professor is suffering from an illness that is robbing him of his power to work. Doctors and friends are baffled; only his secretary suspects what is wrong with him. Together they travel to Scotland in search of a cure. There she becomes engaged in a rivalry with a titled widow who is determined to make the professor her second husband.
