    The Morgan Library & Museum in New York city houses an important collection of illuminated, literary, and historical manuscripts, early printed books, and old master drawings and prints. The Library streams several videotapes produced to support exhibitions and other events. Recent additions include ALICE: 150 YEARS OF WONDERLAND celebrating the 150th anniversary of the publication of Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’; the curator of the exhibition ‘Medium as Muse: Woodcuts and the Modern Book’ gives a guided tour and several writers, including Colm Tóibín, speak about Jane Austen in support of the exhibition ‘The Divine Jane: Reflections on Austen’.

    The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum exists to collect, preserve and interpret the impact rock has made on popular culture. The evolving story of rock can be found on the blog and feature pages offering news, artist interviews, performance notes, and the latest event and exhibit happenings. The video series pages offer many streamed videos including Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney and Queen being inducted into the Hall of Fame and performances from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bruce Springsteen, Chuck Berry and many others.     This website is a model of uncluttered clarity. The online collection features extensive audiovisual content from the American Jewish Committee’s anti-prejudice campaigns in the post-World War II era. Users will find, in addition to the films and television programmes themselves, primary documentation produced by the AJC’s television department about the production of these cartoons and live-action short subjects. Also includes the audio content with scripts of AJC-related radio programmes from 1939 to 1955. There is an interactive time-line giving a decade-by-decade tour through the twentieth century.

    The Prisons Memory Archive has recorded 175 interviews and walk-and-talk recordings with those who passed through Armagh Gaol, the Maze and Long Kesh Prison during the 30 years of the violent conflict about the constitutional status of Northern Ireland. The range of participants in the PMA includes prison staff, prisoners, visitors, teachers, chaplains and probation officers. The testimonies have been grouped by theme to aid navigation e.g. release, education, coping, visits. The PMA is an ongoing project and new interviews are being added to the site. The website also provides a filmography of feature films and documentaries which deal with prisoners’ experiences.

    Archive on 4, previously The Archive Hour, is a BBC Radio 4 series which compiles audio clips from the station’s archives around a different theme in each edition. A variety of guest speakers, with a connection to the week’s subject, present the show. An archive of past editions (from 2010) is available on BBC iPlayer. Topics are wide-ranging: recent episodes (July 2015) include ‘Spoken Like a Woman’ in which Anne Karpf explores the way in which women have shaped the sound of British radio; ‘Destroyer of Worlds’ which discusses how Britain discovered the first atomic bomb, only to lose it to the Americans, and ‘The Devil’s Horn’ in which jazz musician Soweto Kinch talks on the history of the saxophone.
