    Among the many millions of objects held across Cambridge University’s eight museums, Botanic Garden, Centre for South Asian Studies, and University Library, are a huge number of wonders related to the world’s largest democracy: India.
    India Unboxed is a collection of eight short films telling the stories behind some of these objects. The videos, which are available via Cambridge University’s Youtube Channel, were created as part of a year-long celebration across the University and city of Cambridge to mark the UK–India Year of Culture 2017.

    The British Museum has created a series of 3 dimensional digital models of some of the artefacts in its collections and put them online. It is now possible to manipulate and rotate the Lewis chess set, the Rosetta Stone, a marble portrait of Julius Caesar, a column from the temple to Artemis at Ephesus and many others. Some of the models are accompanied by audio descriptions to add context and extra information.
