This site from the Netherlands includes an excellent series of links demonstrating the use of audio and video streaming in education, under such categories as ‘Capturing and reusing a communication event’, ‘Giving access and depth to real events’, ‘Supporting a learning process’, and ‘Accessing a library of video cases’. All praise also to a site which describes itself as ‘always under construction’.

A privately-produced "home page for the alternative cinematic experience". Very good news information, links to avant garde film/video artists and venues as well as a wide range of related resources. Also includes the ‘Frameworks’ discussion list, the Hi-Beam online magazine for experimental film and video, and an image gallery, but no moving images.

Indexed alphabetically, this website contains information on British comedy programmes from the 60s to the present. Each entry has a synopsis and many have stills. There are also links to other pages with information about availability on video, episode titles, dates of first broadcast, cast listings and other credits. Originally known as ‘Natural Selection’, this gateway to academic resources on all aspects of nature was co-ordinated by the Natural History Museum before becoming part of Intute. NB Intute closed in July 2011 and the site has now been archived.

A service funded, until July 2011, by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) for accessing Internet resources for learning and teaching communities in the UK. Organised into 19 gateways covering Science and Technology, Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, and Health and Life Sciences. Previously known as the Resource Discovery Network. NB Intute closed in July 2011 and the site has now been archived. No further resources are being added and no changes are being made to existing content, so the resource will increasingly become less useful and reliable.

WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) regularly produces videos for broadcast internationally as part of its campaigns. The website contains 2-6 minute clips of the latest news releases on topics such as endangered species and environmental problems. WWF videos are also available via Vimeo and YouTube.
