Church Eaton: Portrait of a Village

Synopsis
Church Eaton is a typical rural community of about 750 people about seven miles from Stafford. This video looks at the archaeology and history of the village, its cattle, pigs and sheep farming, the green bio-fuels project at the strawberry farm, the artisan craftspeople with studios in the village, the woodsman and other individuals. There is a feature on the Church and the choir, the School, the Village Institute, the village-owned pub, societies and sports activities - and all aspects of community life. The video culminates with all activities in the Summer Festival of 2011. This is a rural project by Staffordshire Film Archive to complement its urban and industrial documentaries.
