Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease characterised by hyperglycemia resulting from a defect in insulin secretion, insulin action or both. This program is designed to provide insight on what diabetes does to a person’s body, the various types of diabetes, complications associated with this disease and important steps to prevent or decrease the risk of complications.
