Synopsis
The Peterloo Massacre (16 August 1819) began as a peaceful demonstration in Manchester for rights and representation, with thousands gathering to express their views. This short film explores its legacy from a contemporary perspective. Made by a group of young filmmakers, who have been reflecting on what freedom of speech, democracy and protest means to them in current times [6 minutes].
