German Expressionism
- Synopsis
- From "The Bridge" to "The Blue Rider" the authors trace the Expressionist Movement in Germany during the early 20th Century. Among others, German Expressionism showcases the key works of a North German oddball, a Bavarian animal lover and a man who had in fact dissociated from the Expressionists, but who could not escape their influence.
This DVD contains five short documentaries that look at; Gabriele Munter’s "Village Street in Winter", Ernst Ludwig Kirchner’s "Five Women in the Street", Franz Marc’s "The Tiger", Mac Beckmann’s "Actors", and Emil Nolde’s "St. Mary of Egypt". - Series
