Synopsis: Documentary programme presented by crime author Bernard O’Mahoney that seeks to provide an insight into some of the most feared criminals in the UK. Men such as the Kray brothers, Paul Ferris, Frankie Fraser and Vic Dark have gained a level of notoriety that sets them apart from their criminal contemporaries. However, to what extent do such ‘hard men’ develop a mythical persona that differs from their true character? With the aid of interviews with criminals, many of whom have never spoken on camera before, the documentary aims to provide a more accurate picture of some of the UK’s best known underground figures.
