Hereford Furniture
- Synopsis
- Are we selling the right furniture? Hereford Furniture is a family owned company with some 40 employees, which has recently recorded a loss. Lord Digby Jones is a successful businessman convinced that small and medium-sized companies like this are vital to the British economy because they provide jobs and their taxes help fund schools and hospitals. Over five months Jones analyses the business, identifies some of its problems and offers solutions. This is a BBC documentary from The Factory Controller series, which explores the declining power of the British manufacturing industry.
