Synopsis
Educational documentary which follows pioneering doctors who looked at the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) research and began developing a new way of thinking about health and social problems. Studies in the field have shown how abuse and neglect during childhood can trigger hormones that severely damage the brains and bodies of children, putting them at a greater risk of illness and self-destructive behaviours in their adult life.
