Dancer
- Synopsis
- Documentary about Sergei Polunin who, at the age of 19, became the Royal ballet’s youngest ever principal. At the peak of his success, aged 25, he walked away, driven to the brink of self-destruction by stardom. This film explores Polunin’s career, looks at what drives him and how he grapples with the contradictions inherent in his profession: how can you be free to be yourself when you are ballet’s ‘hottest property’?
