Shakespeare Sonnets

Synopsis

As part of the Shakespeare 400 Festival, and to coincide with the publication of ‘On Shakespeare’s Sonnets: A Poets’ Celebration’, Margreta de Grazia introduces ten of the poets, each of whom reads one Shakespeare sonnet followed by a response of their own. The poets are: Gillian Clarke, Imtia Dharker, Jackie Kay, Mimi Khalvati, Jo Shapcott, Tim Robertson, Bernard O’Donoghue, Paul Muldoon, Ruth Padel, Don Paterson, Fiona Sampson, Tim Robertson. Recorded at King’s College, London.
