Provoked Wife, The

Synopsis

This film of John Vanbrugh’s Restoration comedy ‘The Provoked Wife’, was made at the opening performance of a production of the play, directed by Professor Michael Cordner and Dr Tom Cantrell, in June 2014, on the main stage of the Department of Theatre, Film and Television, University of York. This production is the latest in a series of staff-directed productions of seventeenth-century productions in the Department.
