Synopsis
First shown on Canadian television in 1995, a 2-DVD set giving an account of the events that unfolded between the Russians and the Germans on the Eastern Front during World War II. The lives of tens of millions were lost in the conflict: one in ten Russians died, one in four Poles died and whole divisions of Italians, Romanians and Hungarians disappeared without trace. On average, 17,800 people died every day. Narrated by Douglas Rein.
