- Synopsis
- Clive Gunnell’s film depicts an incident in Thomas Hardy’s novel ‘Tess of the D’Urbervilles’ during which Tess goes on a long walk through the Dorset countryside looking for her husband. The film shows Tess’s journey and thoughts using Hardy’s poetry and prose.
Also features an interview with Gertrude Bugler, the first actress to play Tess on stage. - Series
