Gastrostomy: Experiences of Parent Carers and Adults Using Nutritional Support

Synopsis: This DVD aims to support the work of speech and language therapists, surgeons, dietitians and other members of the multi-disciplinary team by following and explaining the patient journey. It emphasises the importance of clear communication with adults and parent carers as members of the MDT. The DVD is aimed at a broad audience, including specialist professionals; care organisations; parents and/or carers; adults approaching
or having gastrostomies; nursing staff; undergraduate and newly qualified professionals working in a multi-disciplinary team.

The DVD was produced in consultation with specialist staff at Hollybank Trust, Mirfield; the School of Health and Wellbeing, Leeds Metropolitan University and Leeds General Infirmary.
