TEEN SPECIES examines the oftern fraught stage of development experienced by human beings between childhood and adulthood. The series is driven by teenagers’ own experiences; it tracks teenagers of all ages, classes and cultures and documents the changes they experience over almost two years. Video diaries document the major upheavals of teenage life, while the three programmes look in turn at the physical process of growing up; teenagers’ sense of identity; and their sense of responsibility, including frequently changing passions.
