Synopsis
Inventor Tim Jenison seeks to understand the painting techniques used by Dutch Master Jan Vermeer, specifically how Vermeer managed to paint in such a realistic manner 150 years before the invention of photography. Jenison visits Delft in Holland, where Vermeer lived and worked, meets artist David Hockney in Yorkshire and finally goes to Buckingham Palace, to see the Queen’s Vermeer.
