Synopsis
This controversial 1986 four-part BBC drama tells the story of Percy Toplis and his role in the Étaples mutiny which took place during the Passchendaele offensive during World War I. THE MONOCLED MUTINEER was adapted by Alan Bleasdale from the book by William Allison and John Fairley and was Bleasdale’s first historical drama.
