Synopsis
With the increasing media coverage of crime and the legal issues surrounding it, this programme provides a comparative introduction to the systems of civil, criminal and youth justice. It also sets out some of the major issues facing the justice system and poses key questions for students to discuss. These include the treatment of young offenders, the purpose of sanctions against criminals and the increasing trend for young people to commit crimes against other young people.
