Using examples taken from the ‘Horizon’ archive, Michael Mosley examines the history of surgical transplant techniques identifying key points, looking at pioneering surgeons, covering ethical questions and finally taking a look at the future, where stem cell research has meant that in the future it may be possible to grow replacement organs.
