Metamorphosis: The Science of Change
- Synopsis
- Filmmaker David Malone explores the science behind metamorphosis, as - with the help of entomologists and microphotography - he looks at the life cycles of locusts, caterpillars, tadpoles and sea urchins. He also attempts to draw wider conclusions about the way human beings view and experience change, referring to Kafka and Ovid, as he tries to understand metamorphosis as an existential as well as a biological phenomenon.
