Road: A Story of Life and Death

Synopsis
Documentary filmmaker Marc Isaacs follows the lives of a number of people who have been led, through force of circumstance, to call London their home. Isaacs’ subjects include a retired German air hostess and her estranged husband, a young Irishwoman, with ambitions to be a singer, who works in a Cricklewood pub, a man from Kashmir working in a hotel, trying to earn enough money so his wife can join him; and an elderly Jewish woman who fled Vienna when Hitler was in power.
