Troubles in Northern Ireland, The

Synopsis
For thirty years the words ‘Northern Ireland’ were associated with violence, unrest, political instability and death. Why, and how, did this come about? Was it a religious, economic or political conflict? The Good Friday Agreement shows that it is possible to solve what might seem like intractable problems; that with patience and good will almost all differences can be accommodated. But is it the men of violence who have created a solution, or the men of peace?
