Synopsis
The Pokot people live in a small region straddling the border of Uganda and Kenya. This film presents the consequences of female genital mutilation through the testimonies of Pokot women, doctors and social workers. It addresses related issues such as child marriage and obstetric fistula and also highlights some positive voices of change within the community. The film aims to draw attention to the entrenched social norms that perpetuate these abuses and the challenges in tackling them.
