Dr Faustus: An Exploration of Voice, Sound and Body

Synopsis
This production of ‘Dr Faustus’ draws inspiration from Butoh dance and incorporates sound, text and vocal exploration in order to explore abstract imagery through voice and body. Disc 2 consists of a filmed staged workshop showing how the Voice Theatre Lab developed the ideas, based on depictions of the five elements - wood, fire, metal, water and earth - which were then used in their adaptation of Marlowe’s play.
